Current Roadworks - Temporary Road Closures - Bridge Closures



Please be advised that the Samuel Beckett Bridge will close to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic on the following date to facilitate its annual maintenance.
 
Tuesday 10th September 2019, from 22:00 hours until 23:00 hours
Saturday 14th September 2019, from 13:00 hours until 15:00 hours

Hanover Quay (from Forbes Street to Blood Stoney Road), Dublin 2


A request has been received from Dragons at the Docks for the temporary closure of the following road to facilitate the Dragons @ The Dock event on the date and times listed below:

Hanover Quay (from Forbes Street to Blood Stoney Road), Dublin 2 from 06.00hrs to 23.30hrs on Thursday 29th August 2019.

Traffic Management Plan
•Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.

Grant Thornton 5k


Athletics Ireland intends to close of the following roads to facilitate the Grant Thornton 5k road race on the date and times listed below:

Location 1:      City Quay (From Talbot Memorial Bridge to Lombard Street East), Dublin 2 from 19.00hrs to 20.30hrs on Wednesday 4th September 2019.

Location 2:      Samuel Beckett Bridge, Dublin 2 from 19.00hrs to 21.00hrs on Wednesday 4th September 2019.

Location 3:      Custom House Quay (from Talbot Memorial Bridge to Commons Street), Dublin 1 from 19.00hrs to 21.30hrs on Wednesday 4th September 2019.

The temporary road closure is to facilitate the Grant Thornton 5K road race event.

In addition to temporary road closures there will be, managed temporary traffic lane closures along the route from START at City Quay, Talbot Memorial Bridge Custom House Quay, North Wall Quay (NWQ), Samuel Beckett Bridge (SBB), Sir John Rogerson’s Quay (SJRQ), Horse Fair, Blood Stoney, Hanover Quay, Benson St, SJRQ, SBB, NWQ and FINISH Custom House Quay (CHQ).

Traffic Management Plan
•Southbound traffic on North Strand Road / Portland Row wishing to travel across Samuel Beckett Bridge will be diverted via Amiens Street, Memorial Road and Talbot Memorial Bridge.
•Northbound traffic on Macken Street / Pearse Street wishing to travel across Samuel Beckett Bridge will be diverted via Pearse Street, Tara Street and Butt Bridge.
•Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
